Light energy is used to break down water --> H2O --> H+ + O2 + e-, O2 waste is removed, and H+ and e- are used for ATP Synthase (ATP and NADPH formation) ATP and NADH are used in the Calvin cycle in the stroma. Makes sugar by binding CO2 with the enzyme Rubisco to produce sugar (triglyceride phosphate/G3P). G3P is combined into complex sugars. This means that the stroma contains G3P, complex sugars (starch), ATP, NADPH, CO2, and rubisco (protein).
