The English boy was only temporary in the company 

El = the

Chico = boy, chica = girl

Inglés = English (noun in Spanish isn't capitalized)

Estaba = was

Solo = only

De paso = temporary (passing by)

En = in

La = the (for feminine noun), el = the (for masculine noun)

Empresa = company (feminine noun, usually ends with -a)
